About this study
Official title: Thymalfasin Combined With Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy for Neoadjuvant Treatment of Triple-Negative Breast Cancer:A Prospective, Open-Label, Single-Center, Phase II, Randomized Controlled Clinical Study
This is a prospective, open-label, single-center, phase II, randomized controlled clinical trial involving patients with triple-negative breast cancer who meet the criteria for neoadjuvant chemotherapy (T > 2 cm, N+). The study aims to further validate the sensitizing effect and safety of Thymalfasin in combination with neoadjuvant chemotherapy and immunotherapy by comparing the 3-year event-free survival (EFS) and IFNγ elevation rates between the group receiving Thymalfasin in combinatione with standard neoadjuvant chemotherapy and immunotherapy and the control group receiving standard neoadjuvant chemotherapy and immunotherapy alone.
- Being tested
- Thymalfasin
- Medical subject headings
- Breast Neoplasms, Triple Negative Breast Neoplasms
What participants receive
What participants receive. In a randomised study each person is assigned to one group by chance.
ThymalfasinDrug
Thymalfasin 1.6 mg subcutaneous injection
| Study group | Role | What they receive |
|---|---|---|
| Thymalfasin Arm | Experimental | Not described Receives: Drug: Thymalfasin |
| Control Arm | No intervention | Not described |
What is being measured
The primary outcome is the main question the study is designed to answer.
EFS
From randomization to the occurrence of any predefined event (such as disease progression, relapse, death, discontinuation due to toxicity, or change of treatment regimen)
Measured: 3 years
Interferon-gamma (IFNγ) elevation rate
IFNγ Increase Rate = (Preoperative Serum IFNγ - Baseline Serum IFNγ) / Baseline Serum IFNγ × 100%
Measured: 3 years
Secondary outcomes (3)
pCR
Pathological Complete Response Rate
Measured: 3 years
OS
Overall survival is defined as the time from randomization to death from any reason
Measured: 3 years
Safety
Assess the safety of the treatment according to CTCAE 5.0
Measured: 3 years
