All trial data comes from ClinicalTrials.gov, the registry run by the U.S. National Library of Medicine, through its public API .
Browse pages
- Countries: every country the registry lists with at least 25 studies.
- Conditions and drugs: the 250 most frequent condition and intervention names in the registry. Placebo, usual care and similar comparison arms are left out of the drug list.
- Pharma sponsors: industry lead sponsors with at least 10 active studies. Institutions: universities, hospitals, agencies and networks with at least 40.
Condition pages match the words of the condition name against each study’s conditions and their medical subject headings, treating common equivalents alike, so “Breast Cancer” also finds “Breast Neoplasms” and “breast carcinoma”. Sponsor pages show studies where the organisation is the lead sponsor; the search also covers collaborators.
Eligibility lists
Inclusion and exclusion criteria are shown as the sponsor wrote them, split into two lists when the record uses the usual headings. Where it doesn’t, the original text is shown unchanged.
Limits
- Sponsors are responsible for keeping their records current; some statuses and dates are out of date. “Unknown status” means the record has not been verified for two years.
- Searches can be paged through their first 5,000 results. Add a filter to reach the rest.
- Keyword search matches words in titles, conditions, keywords, drugs and sponsors; results are listed most recently updated first rather than ranked by relevance.
- AzTrials shows posted results as available but does not reproduce them; open the official record for results.
