About this study

Official title: A Randomized, Open-Label, Multicenter Phase III Clinical Study to Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of QLC5508 Versus Investigator's Choice Chemotherapy in Participants With Advanced Extrapulmonary Neuroendocrine Carcinoma (EP-NEC) That Has Failed After Platinum-Containing Chemotherapy

This trial is a Phase III, randomized, open-label, multicenter study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of QLC5508 versus investigator's choice chemotherapy in participants with advanced EP-NEC that has failed after at least one prior platinum-based chemotherapy regimen.

Being tested
Investigator's Choice Chemotherapy (FOLFIRI or FOLFOX regimen), QLC5508

What participants receive

What participants receive. In a randomised study each person is assigned to one group by chance.

  • Investigator's Choice Chemotherapy (FOLFIRI or FOLFOX regimen)Drug

FOLFIRI regimen: Irinotecan 180 mg/m² intravenous infusion on Day 1 and Day 15, leucovorin 400 mg/m² intravenous infusion on Day 1 and Day 15, and fluorouracil 400 mg/m² intravenous push on Day 1 and Day 15, followed by fluorouracil 2400 mg/m² via continuous intravenous infusion over 46-48 hours, once every 2 weeks. Each treatment cycle is 4 weeks.

FOLFOX regimen: oxaliplatin 85 mg/m² intravenous infusion on Day 1 and Day 15, leucovorin 400 mg/m² intravenous infusion on Day 1 and Day 15, and fluorouracil 400 mg/m² intravenous push on Day 1 and Day 15, followed by fluorouracil 2400 mg/m² via continuous intravenous infusion over 46-48 hours, once every 2 weeks. Each treatment cycle is 4 weeks.

What is being measured

The primary outcome is the main question the study is designed to answer.

  1. Overall survival (OS)

OS is defined as the duration from the date of randomization to the date of death due to any cause.

Measured: Up to approximately 48 months

Secondary outcomes (5)
  1. Progression-free survival (PFS)

PFS is defined as the duration from the date of randomization to the date of first documented progressive disease (PD) based on investigator assessment, or death from any cause, whichever occurs first.

Measured: Up to approximately 48 months

  2. Objective response rate (ORR)

ORR is defined as the percentage of participants achieved complete response or partial response as assessed according to RECIST v1.1 criteria.

Measured: Up to approximately 48 months

  3. Duration of response (DOR)

DOR is defined as the duration from the first documented objective response to the first documented disease progression or death from any cause, whichever occurs first.

Measured: Up to approximately 48 months

  4. Disease control rate (DCR)

DCR is defined as the percentage of participants achieved complete response, partial response, or stable disease as assessed according to RECIST v1.1 criteria.

Measured: Up to approximately 48 months

  5. Treatment Emergent Adverse Event (TEAE)

TEAEs are defined as any adverse event (AE) that occurs after the initiation of study treatment, or any pre-existing condition that worsens in severity or frequency after the initiation of study treatment, regardless of the causal relationship to the study treatment. TEAEs will be graded and summarized by type, frequency, and severity according to the National Cancer Institute Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events (NCI CTCAE), version 6.0.

Measured: Up to approximately 48 months

Questions about this trial

What is this clinical trial studying?

A Phase 3 study testing Investigator's Choice Chemotherapy (FOLFIRI or FOLFOX regimen) and QLC5508 in people with Extrapulmonary Neuroendocrine Carcinoma, run by Qilu Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd..

The full registered description is in the About this study section and the official record.

Who may be eligible to take part?

The sponsor lists 11 inclusion and 19 exclusion criteria. Eligibility is decided by the study team after screening, so read the full criteria and contact a listed site.

Is this clinical trial currently recruiting?

The record says: opening soon, as of the sponsor's last update on 26 Oct 2026. Status can change between updates, so confirm with the study contact before making plans.

What are the possible benefits and risks?

They depend on the study and the treatment, and no study can promise a benefit. The study team explains the known risks during informed consent, before anyone joins; the record itself does not list them.

What does this phase mean?

Phase 3 studies compare the treatment with the current standard treatment or a placebo in a large group, to confirm how well it works and watch for side effects.

Not every study follows the same path, and some studies (observational studies, device studies) have no phase.

Are results available for this study?

This study is still under way. Results are not available in the source record yet.

How can a doctor refer a patient or contact the research team?

Contact Hong Sun, Bachelor (+86-18106583128, hong.sun@qilu-pharma.com), or a site near the patient. AzTrials does not enrol participants or take referrals.

What does the primary outcome measure?

Overall survival (OS) (time frame: Up to approximately 48 months). It is what the study was designed to measure, not a finding.

Where can I read the original study information?
Does a listing mean the treatment is approved or proven to work?

No. A listing means the study is registered. It does not show that the treatment is safe, works, or is approved by a regulator.

How often is this information updated?

AzTrials copies changed records from ClinicalTrials.gov every night and reloads the whole registry every week. The sponsor last updated this record on 26 Oct 2026.
