About this study
Official title: A Phase II Randomized Trial of LND101 for Fecal Microbiota Transplantation in Combination With Immune Checkpoint Blockade and Chemotherapy in Participants With Advanced Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer
This study is being done to answer the following question: Can adding a treatment called Fecal Microbiota Transplant (FMT) to the usual treatment delay the growth or spread of cancer better than the usual treatment alone? FMT treatment changes the bacteria in the gut called the microbiome.
Read the detailed description
This study is being done to find out if this approach (adding FMT treatment to the usual approach) is better or worse than the usual approach for advanced non-small cell lung cancer. The usual approach is defined as care most people get for non-small cell lung cancer.
The usual approach for patients who are not in a study is treatment with a type of immunotherapy drugs called immune checkpoint blockade (ICB) as well as chemotherapy drugs. ICB works by activating the immune system to target the cancer. ICB and chemotherapy may help to slow down the growth of cancer and may cause cancer cells to die.

Questions about this trial
What is this clinical trial studying?
A Phase 2 study testing LND101, Carboplatin and Pemetrexed in people with Non Small Cell Lung Cancer, run by Canadian Cancer Trials Group.
The full registered description is in the About this study section and the official record.
Who may be eligible to take part?
The sponsor lists 17 inclusion and 15 exclusion criteria. Eligibility is decided by the study team after screening, so read the full criteria and contact a listed site.
Is this clinical trial currently recruiting?
The record says: opening soon, as of the sponsor's last update on 27 Oct 2026. Status can change between updates, so confirm with the study contact before making plans.
What are the possible benefits and risks?
They depend on the study and the treatment, and no study can promise a benefit. The study team explains the known risks during informed consent, before anyone joins; the record itself does not list them.
What does this phase mean?
Phase 2 studies give the treatment to a larger group to see whether it has the intended effect and to keep checking safety.
Not every study follows the same path, and some studies (observational studies, device studies) have no phase.
Are results available for this study?
This study is still under way. Results are not available in the source record yet.
How can a doctor refer a patient or contact the research team?
Contact Pierre-Olivier Gaudreau (613-533-6430, p-ogaudreau@ctg.queensu.ca), or a site near the patient. AzTrials does not enrol participants or take referrals.
What does the primary outcome measure?
Progression Free Survival based on RECIST 1.1 criteria (time frame: 4 years). It is what the study was designed to measure, not a finding.
Where can I read the original study information?
Does a listing mean the treatment is approved or proven to work?
No. A listing means the study is registered. It does not show that the treatment is safe, works, or is approved by a regulator.
How often is this information updated?
AzTrials copies changed records from ClinicalTrials.gov every night and reloads the whole registry every week. The sponsor last updated this record on 27 Oct 2026.
