Key requirements

Who can take part, as listed by the sponsor. Only the study team can confirm whether you are eligible, so take this list to your doctor.

  • Ages 18 years and older
  • All sexes
  • No healthy volunteers
  • Adult, Older adult

Study population: The study population consists of adult patients with a recent diagnosis of LDGCB who have not previously received treatment (TN) and who commenced systemic 1L therapy during the study identification period (1 January 2020 to 1 July 2024) in Brazil, Canada, France and the United Kingdom. Patients will be followed up until death, loss to follow-up or the end of the study period, whichever occurs first. Loss to follow-up will be defined individually for each dataset, but may include (i) the last interaction recorded in the data, (ii) the end of the continuous recruitment period, or (iii) another definition specific to each dataset.

Who may be able to join

  • Patients with newly diagnosed LDGCB prior to the index date during the study identification period (1 January 2020 to 1 July 2024) in registries/databases in Brazil, Canada, France and the United Kingdom.
  • Patients aged ≥ 18 years at the time of their first diagnosis of LDGCB.
  • Patients who started eligible first-line systemic therapy during the study identification period (1 January 2020 to 1 July 2024).
  • Identify patients who started palliative care during the study identification period (1 January 2020 to 31 December 2024).

Who cannot join

  • Patients who were treated for another primary cancer diagnosis documented less than 5 years prior to the index event.
  • Patients who received systemic treatment for LDGCB prior to the index event.
  • Patients who received palliative care as first-line treatment.
  • Patients who participated in a clinical trial after the index date (i.e. who received treatment for LDGCB as part of a clinical trial)

About this study

Official title: WW-CLARITY: Real-world Characteristics, Treatments, and Outcomes of Treatment-Naïve (TN) Patients With Diffuse Large B- Cell Lymphoma (DLBCL) in the UK, France, Canada, and Brazil

This is a retrospective observational registry study designed to characterise patient profiles, assess treatment patterns, evaluate clinical outcomes and explore COO testing patterns among adult patients with newly diagnosed LDGCB who have not previously received treatment (TN) and are receiving first-line (1L) treatment.

Read the detailed description

This is a retrospective observational registry study designed to characterise patient profiles, assess treatment patterns, evaluate clinical outcomes and explore COO testing patterns among adult patients with newly diagnosed LDGCB who have not previously received treatment (TN) and are receiving first-line (1L) treatment. Patients who commenced first-line systemic treatment during the study identification period, from 1 January 2020 to one year prior to the end of the study period (which will vary according to the data source), will be eligible for inclusion in the study. Data will be collected, analysed and summarised separately for each participating country.

In Brazil, the study will use data available from the Study's Local Database - Einstein Hospital Israelita, including patient demographic data such as age and gender; clinical information such as diagnosis, disease stage, details of the patient's general condition and laboratory test results; and information on treatment.

What is being measured

The primary outcome is the main question the study is designed to answer.

  1. Real-world progression-free survival (rwPFS), measured from the start of first-line (1L) treatment until clinically documented disease progression or death, with censoring at the time of the last contact.

Probability of survival at 2 years derived from the Kaplan-Meier analysis of real-world rwPFS (2- year rwPFS)

Measured: through study completation, an avarege 1 year

Secondary outcomes (5)
  1. Distribution of first-line (1L) treatment regimens

It will be summarized using descriptive statistics and Kaplan-Meier methods.

Measured: through study completation, an avarege 1 year

  2. Safety outcomes include hematologic and non-hematologic adverse events.

Safety will be assessed using adverse events that occurred during first-line treatment, with 95% confidence intervals.

Measured: through study completation, an avarege 1 year

  3. Distribution of treatment patterns

It will be summarized using descriptive statistics and Kaplan-Meier methods

Measured: through study completation, an avarege 1 year

  4. Distribution of overall survival

It will be summarized using descriptive statistics and Kaplan-Meier methods

Measured: through study completation, an avarege 1 year

  5. Treatment time to next treatment or death

It will be summarized using descriptive statistics and Kaplan-Meier methods

Measured: through study completation, an avarege 1 year

The record says: opening soon, as of the sponsor's last update on 20 Oct 2026. Status can change between updates, so confirm with the study contact before making plans.

Where is the study taking place?

The record lists 5 sites in Brazil. Whether a site is taking part right now should be confirmed with that site. See every site.

What are the possible benefits and risks?

They depend on the study and the treatment, and no study can promise a benefit. The study team explains the known risks during informed consent, before anyone joins; the record itself does not list them.

Are results available for this study?

This study is still under way. Results are not available in the source record yet.

How can a doctor refer a patient or contact the research team?

Contact AstraZeneca Clinical Study Information Center (1-877-240-9479, information.center@astrazeneca.com), or a site near the patient. AzTrials does not enrol participants or take referrals.

What does the primary outcome measure?

Real-world progression-free survival (rwPFS), measured from the start of first-line (1L) treatment until clinically documented disease progression or death, with censoring at the time of the last contact. (time frame: through study completation, an avarege 1 year). It is what the study was designed to measure, not a finding.

Where can I read the original study information?
Does a listing mean the treatment is approved or proven to work?

No. A listing means the study is registered. It does not show that the treatment is safe, works, or is approved by a regulator.

How often is this information updated?

AzTrials copies changed records from ClinicalTrials.gov every night and reloads the whole registry every week. The sponsor last updated this record on 20 Oct 2026; AzTrials last refreshed its copy on 7 Nov 2026.
