What participants receive

What participants receive. In a randomised study each person is assigned to one group by chance.

  • Maridebart cafraglutideDrug

    Also called AMG 133, MariTide

    Administered subcutaneously.

  • AutoinjectorDevice

The AI will be used by participants to self-administer SC doses of maridebart cafraglutide.

Study groups in NCT07871409
Study groupRoleWhat they receive
Maridebart cafraglutideExperimentalParticipants will receive 8 total doses of subcutaneous (SC) injections of maridebart cafraglutide.
Receives: Drug: Maridebart cafraglutide; Device: Autoinjector

What is being measured

The primary outcome is the main question the study is designed to answer.

  1. Percentage of Participants Who Successfully Self-inject a Full Dose Among Those Who Attempted Injection at Each Home Administration

    Measured: Weeks 12, 16, and 20

  2. Percentage of Participants Who Successfully Self-inject a Full Dose Among All Participants Who Entered the Home Self-administration Phase at Each Scheduled Home Administration

    Measured: Weeks 12, 16, and 20

Secondary outcomes (4)
  1. Number of Participants Who Experience Device-related Adverse Events

    Measured: Up To 37 weeks

  2. Number of Participants Who Experience Treatment-emergent Adverse Events (TEAEs) and Serious Adverse Events (SAEs)

Measured: TEAEs: From baseline (Day 1) up to end of trial (approximately 37 weeks). SAEs: From screening (Day -28) up to end of trial (approximately 41 weeks).

  3. Plasma Concentration of Maridebart Cafraglutide at Week 24

    Measured: Week 24

  4. Percent Change From Baseline in Body Weight at Week 24

    Measured: Baseline and Week 24

Questions about this trial

What is this clinical trial studying?

A Phase 3 study testing Maridebart cafraglutide and Autoinjector in people with Obesity and Overweight, run by Amgen at 1 site in United States.

The full registered description is in the About this study section and the official record.

Who may be eligible to take part?

The sponsor lists 9 inclusion and 8 exclusion criteria. Eligibility is decided by the study team after screening, so read the full criteria and contact a listed site.

Is this clinical trial currently recruiting?

The record says: opening soon, as of the sponsor's last update on 13 Oct 2026. Status can change between updates, so confirm with the study contact before making plans.

Where is the study taking place?

The record lists 1 site in United States. Whether a site is taking part right now should be confirmed with that site. See every site.

What are the possible benefits and risks?

They depend on the study and the treatment, and no study can promise a benefit. The study team explains the known risks during informed consent, before anyone joins; the record itself does not list them.

What does this phase mean?

Phase 3 studies compare the treatment with the current standard treatment or a placebo in a large group, to confirm how well it works and watch for side effects.

Not every study follows the same path, and some studies (observational studies, device studies) have no phase.

Are results available for this study?

This study is still under way. Results are not available in the source record yet.

How can a doctor refer a patient or contact the research team?

Contact Amgen Call Center (866-572-6436, medinfo@amgen.com), or a site near the patient. AzTrials does not enrol participants or take referrals.

What does the primary outcome measure?

Percentage of Participants Who Successfully Self-inject a Full Dose Among Those Who Attempted Injection at Each Home Administration (time frame: Weeks 12, 16, and 20). The study lists 2 primary outcomes in all. It is what the study was designed to measure, not a finding.

Where can I read the original study information?
Does a listing mean the treatment is approved or proven to work?

No. A listing means the study is registered. It does not show that the treatment is safe, works, or is approved by a regulator.

How often is this information updated?

AzTrials copies changed records from ClinicalTrials.gov every night and reloads the whole registry every week. The sponsor last updated this record on 13 Oct 2026.
