Trial summary

This prospective, single-center observational study investigates whether continuous glucose monitoring (CGM, 14 days) and gut microbiota composition (from a fecal sample) reveal patterns specific to pancreatic cancer, aiming to contribute to earlier detection and better assessment of disease severity. About this study

This prospective, single-center observational study investigates whether continuous glucose monitoring (CGM, 14 days) and gut microbiota composition (from a fecal sample) reveal patterns specific to pancreatic cancer, aiming to contribute to earlier detection and better assessment of disease severity. Adult patients under investigation, follow-up, or treatment for benign or malignant pancreatic/periampullary conditions are invited to participate in either or both parts of the study.

What is being measured

The primary outcome is the main question the study is designed to answer.

  1. Difference in CGM-derived glycemic variability metrics

Measured: 14 days CGM recording period

  2. Difference in gut microbiota composition

    Measured: Single fecal sample
