Study population: The sample size was calculated before the enrollment of the subjects. The calculation was done based on the HF( high frequency)power, which is the major parameter of parasympathetic activity. The intraindividual day-to-day variance of HF power is nearly 20%. Hence, the investigators defined the clinically meaningful difference of HF power as a change of 50%, which is larger than the interindividual variance. To detect a 50% change of HF power with a standard deviation of 50% of mean and a correlation of 0.7 between 2 groups, atleast 13 participants were needed for α error of 0.05 and a power of 0.8.Therefore, the investigators fixed the sample size to 30.
