About this study

Official title: A Single-Center, Open-Label, Same-Subject Sequential Crossover Clinical Trial to Evaluate the Effects of Rifampicin or Itraconazole on the Pharmacokinetics of Befotertinib Capsules in Healthy Participants

This study adopts a single-center, open-label, same-subject sequential crossover clinical trial design, aiming to evaluate the effects of oral administration of rifampicin or itraconazole on the pharmacokinetic profiles of Befotertinib capsules in healthy trial participants. The study consists of two treatment groups.

The rifampicin group is planned to enroll 18 healthy trial participants. Participants will receive a single oral dose of Befotertinib capsules on the morning of Day 1, and continuous oral administration of rifampicin every morning from Day 19 to Day 27 and Day29 to Day 40. On the morning of Day 28, participants will take Befotertinib capsules and rifampicin.

The itraconazole group is planned to enroll 18 healthy trial participants to evaluate the effect of itraconazole on the pharmacokinetic profiles of Befotertinib capsules. Participants will receive a single oral dose of Befotertinib capsules on the morning of Day 1, and continuous oral administration of itraconazole every morning from Day 19 to Day 21 and Day 23 to Day 32. On the morning of Day 22 participants will take Befotertinib capsulets and itraconazole.

Being tested
Befotertinib and rifampicin, Befotertinib and itraconazole

What is being measured

The primary outcome is the main question the study is designed to answer.

  1. Maximum plasma concentration (Cmax)

Measured: From pre-dose to 312 hours post-dose in rifampicin group. From pre-dose to 384 hours post-dose in itraconazole group.

  2. Area under the plasma concentration-time curve from time 0 to the last measurable concentration (AUC₀-t)

Measured: From pre-dose to 312 hours post-dose in rifampicin group. From pre-dose to 384 hours post-dose in itraconazole group.

  3. Area under the plasma concentration-time curve from time 0 to infinity (AUC₀-∞)

Measured: From pre-dose to 312 hours post-dose in rifampicin group. From pre-dose to 384 hours post-dose in itraconazole group.

Questions about this trial

What is this clinical trial studying?

A Phase 1 study testing Befotertinib and rifampicin and Befotertinib and itraconazole in people with DDI (Drug-Drug Interaction), run by Betta Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd. at 1 site in China.

The full registered description is in the About this study section and the official record.

Who may be eligible to take part?

The sponsor lists 2 inclusion and 5 exclusion criteria. Eligibility is decided by the study team after screening, so read the full criteria and contact a listed site.

Is this clinical trial currently recruiting?

The record says: looking for participants now, as of the sponsor's last update on 9 Sep 2026. Status can change between updates, so confirm with the study contact before making plans.

Where is the study taking place?

The record lists 1 site in China. Whether a site is taking part right now should be confirmed with that site. See every site.

What are the possible benefits and risks?

They depend on the study and the treatment, and no study can promise a benefit. The study team explains the known risks during informed consent, before anyone joins; the record itself does not list them.

What does this phase mean?

Phase 1 studies test a treatment in a small group of people for the first time or in a new way, mainly to check safety and find the right dose.

Not every study follows the same path, and some studies (observational studies, device studies) have no phase.

Are results available for this study?

This study is still under way. Results are not available in the source record yet.

How can a doctor refer a patient or contact the research team?

Each site lists its own contact: choose the nearest one under Trial locations. AzTrials does not enrol participants or take referrals.

What does the primary outcome measure?

Maximum plasma concentration (Cmax) (time frame: From pre-dose to 312 hours post-dose in rifampicin group. From pre-dose to 384 hours post-dose in itraconazole group.). The study lists 3 primary outcomes in all. It is what the study was designed to measure, not a finding.

Where can I read the original study information?
Does a listing mean the treatment is approved or proven to work?

No. A listing means the study is registered. It does not show that the treatment is safe, works, or is approved by a regulator.

How often is this information updated?

AzTrials copies changed records from ClinicalTrials.gov every night and reloads the whole registry every week. The sponsor last updated this record on 9 Sep 2026.
