About this study

Official title: BIO-FUNCTION for NRM Prediction in SCTCT: Assessing Biological and Functional Reserve to Predict Non-Relapse Mortality in Stem Cell Transplant and Cell Therapy

The purpose of this research is test if combination of physical tests and blood tests drawn before SCTCT can predict NRM.

Being tested
blood sample to check CXCL9 pre stem cell transplant and cell therapy

What participants receive

What participants receive. In a randomised study each person is assigned to one group by chance.

  • blood sample to check CXCL9 pre stem cell transplant and cell therapyDiagnostic test

Pre SCTCT as per SOC physical function assessment will be performed in a form of IADl, hand grip, and or walk test like TUG. Specimen Collection Studies: LDH , albumin, ferritin, CRP, platelet and creatinine will be collected as per standard of care pre SCTCT. The non-SOC procedure will be drawing CXL9

What is being measured

The primary outcome is the main question the study is designed to answer.

  1. Non relapse mortality (NRM)

Measured: NRM at day 100 and at year 1

Questions about this trial

What is this clinical trial studying?

An observational study of Mortality Prediction, run by Henry Ford Health System at 1 site in United States.

The full registered description is in the About this study section and the official record.

Who may be eligible to take part?

The sponsor lists 2 inclusion and 3 exclusion criteria. Eligibility is decided by the study team after screening, so read the full criteria and contact a listed site.

Contact Shatha Farhan, MD (3137133910, sfarhan1@hfhs.org), or a site near the patient. AzTrials does not enrol participants or take referrals.

What does the primary outcome measure?

Non relapse mortality (NRM) (time frame: NRM at day 100 and at year 1). It is what the study was designed to measure, not a finding.

Where can I read the original study information?
Does a listing mean the treatment is approved or proven to work?

No. A listing means the study is registered. It does not show that the treatment is safe, works, or is approved by a regulator.
