About this study
Psoriatic arthritis (PsA), a chronic immune-mediated heterogeneous inflammatory disease characterized by musculoskeletal inflammation (arthritis, enthesitis, spondylitis and dactylitis), usually occurs in patients with psoriasis. The spondyloarthritides (SPs) (of which psoriasis is one) are a group of inflammatory diseases that share an association with the HLA-B27 MHC class I molecule.
Given this association, these diseases are classically regarded as disorders of adaptive immunity.
In bone marrow donation, HLA-B exon 1 dimorphism (HLAB leader) is associated with risk of graft- versus-host disease, relapse and overall survival after unrelated hematopoietic cell transplantation (UHCT), haploidentical UHCT and cord transplantation. In the literature, there are no studies suggesting the involvement of the HLA B leader gene in MS and RPs. The main aim of this study is to compare the presence of the HLA B leader gene between a group of patients with psoriatic arthritis and a healthy group without inflammatory disease.

What participants receive
What participants receive. In a randomised study each person is assigned to one group by chance.
blood testBiological
Addition of an extra tube for blood tests (a single tube for genetic research), enabling phenotyping of the HLA B27 and HLA B leader genes.
| Study group | Role | What they receive |
|---|---|---|
| psoriatic rheumatism patient | Experimental | patients with psoriatic arthritis Receives: Biological: blood test |
| healthy group | Active comparator | patients without inflammatory disease Receives: Biological: blood test |
What is being measured
The primary outcome is the main question the study is designed to answer.
prevalence of HLA B leader in both groups
prevalence of HLA B leader in patients with psoriatic rheumatism compared to the healthy group by autoimmune disease
Measured: 1 year
Secondary outcomes (2)
Prevalence of HLAB27 gene in both groups
Prevalence of HLAB27 gene in patients with psoriatic rheumatism compared to the healthy group free from autoimmune disease
Measured: 1 year
prevalence of the HLAB27/ HLA b Leader gene in different forms of psoriatic rheumatism patient group
prevalence of the HLAB27/ HLA b Leader gene in different forms of psoriatic rheumatism in patients with different disease conditions
Measured: 1 year

The full registered description is in the About this study section and the official record.
Who may be eligible to take part?
The sponsor lists 9 inclusion and 3 exclusion criteria. Eligibility is decided by the study team after screening, so read the full criteria and contact a listed site.
Is this clinical trial currently recruiting?
The record says: looking for participants now, as of the sponsor's last update on 22 Jul 2026. Status can change between updates, so confirm with the study contact before making plans.
Where is the study taking place?
The record lists 1 site in France. Whether a site is taking part right now should be confirmed with that site. See every site.
What are the possible benefits and risks?
They depend on the study and the treatment, and no study can promise a benefit. The study team explains the known risks during informed consent, before anyone joins; the record itself does not list them.

This study is still under way. Results are not available in the source record yet.
How can a doctor refer a patient or contact the research team?
Contact Vincent Goeb, Pr (33+3.22.08.83.71, Goeb.vincent@chu-amiens.fr), or a site near the patient. AzTrials does not enrol participants or take referrals.
What does the primary outcome measure?
prevalence of HLA B leader in both groups (time frame: 1 year). It is what the study was designed to measure, not a finding.
Where can I read the original study information?
Does a listing mean the treatment is approved or proven to work?
No. A listing means the study is registered. It does not show that the treatment is safe, works, or is approved by a regulator.
How often is this information updated?
AzTrials copies changed records from ClinicalTrials.gov every night and reloads the whole registry every week. The sponsor last updated this record on 22 Jul 2026.
