Study population: This study will include patients previously included in the TACSI-trial (Dual antiplatelet therapy with ticagrelor and ASA vs. ASA alone after coronary artery bypass grafting in patients with acute coronary syndrome) . This means patients with age ≥18 years that has undergone for the first time an isolated CABG due to an episode of an acute coronary syndrome (ACS) event within 6 weeks before CABG. The randomized, controlled trial TACSI (ClinicalTrials.gov NCT03560310) offers a unique possibility to address the issue of graft patency based on antiplatelet strategy in patients with acute coronary syndromes.

What is being measured
The primary outcome is the main question the study is designed to answer.
Graft patency after CABG
Defined as patency on CCTA (FitzGibbon A) without previous graft failure identified on CCTA and/or invasive coronary angio (ICA) since CABG, intention to treat (ITT) analysis.
Measured: 12-36 months
Secondary outcomes (5)
Graft patency after CABG - PP analysis
Defined as patency on CCTA (FitzGibbon A) without previous graft failure identified on CCTA and/or ICA since CABG, per protocol (PP) analysis.
Measured: 12-36 months
Graft patency after CABG
Defined as non-occlusion on CCTA (FitzGibbon A+B) without previous graft occlusion identified on CCTA and/or ICA since CABG, ITT analysis.
Measured: 12-36 months
Graft patency after CABG
Defined as non-occlusion on CCTA (FitzGibbon A+B) without previous graft occlusion identified on CCTA and/or ICA since CABG, PP analysis.
Measured: 12-36 months
Graft patency after CABG
Defined as patency on CCTA (FitzGibbon A) without graft failure identified on CCTA and/or ICA since CABG, patients on oral anticoagulants excluded, ITT (sensitivity analysis).
Measured: 12-36 months
Graft patency after CABG
Defined as non-occlusion on CCTA (FitzGibbon A) without previous graft failure identified on CCTA and/or ICA since CABG, patients on oral anticoagulants excluded, PP (sensitivity analysis).
Measured: 12-36 months

Questions about this trial
What is this clinical trial studying?
An observational study of Acute Coronary Syndrome and Coronary Bypass Stenosis, run by University Hospital, Linkoeping at 6 sites in 2 countries.
The full registered description is in the About this study section and the official record.
Who may be eligible to take part?
The sponsor lists 1 inclusion and 6 exclusion criteria. Eligibility is decided by the study team after screening, so read the full criteria and contact a listed site.
Is this clinical trial currently recruiting?
The record says: looking for participants now, as of the sponsor's last update on 19 Dec 2025. Status can change between updates, so confirm with the study contact before making plans.
Where is the study taking place?
The record lists 6 sites in Sweden, Norway. Whether a site is taking part right now should be confirmed with that site. See every site.
What are the possible benefits and risks?
They depend on the study and the treatment, and no study can promise a benefit. The study team explains the known risks during informed consent, before anyone joins; the record itself does not list them.
Are results available for this study?
This study is still under way. Results are not available in the source record yet.
How can a doctor refer a patient or contact the research team?
Contact Jonas Holm, MD, PhD (+46101034498, jonas.holm@regionostergotland.se), or a site near the patient. AzTrials does not enrol participants or take referrals.
What does the primary outcome measure?
Graft patency after CABG (time frame: 12-36 months). It is what the study was designed to measure, not a finding.
Where can I read the original study information?
Does a listing mean the treatment is approved or proven to work?
No. A listing means the study is registered. It does not show that the treatment is safe, works, or is approved by a regulator.
How often is this information updated?
AzTrials copies changed records from ClinicalTrials.gov every night and reloads the whole registry every week. The sponsor last updated this record on 19 Dec 2025.
